After I passed JLPT N5, N4 and took N3 last December (not sure I passed..), I decided to take Chika Sensei speaking course. I see my grammar and listening skills progress but preparing JLPT means studying grammar and vocabulary and I still have a hard time putting the words that I know together to speak Japanese fluently. Now I am enjoying a lot my speaking journey, recording homework makes me repeat and repeat the script until I reach the right speed, pronunciation and intonation, then I am getting detailed feedback from Chika Sensei next day, not only written but with her own voice correcting small details if needed. She will also leave some open question related to previous lesson for you to answer on your own words together with your next lesson homework, so you have the opportunity to review, practice and learn even more as you get additional feedback and further questions and so on. As flexible as you can just follow by listening and shadowing on and on as you improve your skills if you do not have the time for recording and submit any homework at all. As I failed to book on time for Chika Sensei All in One N2 preparation course, I am happy that I decided to take the speaking course, that finally ended up, opening an additional window for me to enroll the All in One N2 Course, which is the perfect package for me to take the daily speaking lesson, together with the All in One N2 daily lesson. Definitely it makes a big difference to jump from self learning even with the best books, YouTube, podcasts, etc, to well organized and structured, carefully prepared materials focused on your learning.
