[JLPT grammar] Difference between まで and かけて.

Today I am going to share the homework correction quoted from my JLPT N3 course!
The student’s sentence is not correct. Can you find the mistake?

[Student’s sentence]

The largest city on the island of Hokkaido

[My correction]

In Sapporo, it often snows between November and March.

〜から〜にかけて indicates a range with a vague beginning and end and the condition may be intermittent.
〜から〜まで indicates the entire span between the two points, the condition has continued throughout that time.
In this sentence, にかけて is used because some days it snows and some days it does not.

e.g.
The festival will take place from February 3 to 5.

You can see cherry blossoms between March and April.
(for an approximate range of time)

I hope my explanation helps you. 😊
