[Common Mistakes] there is no need to use the polite style before ので.
Today I am going to share the homework correction quoted from my JLPT N5 course!
The student’s sentence is not correct. Can you find the mistake?
[Student’s sentence]

[My correction]
I cannot eat that curry because it is very spicy.
Since the end of the sentence is in polite style, there is no need to use the polite style before ので.
Using polite style twice in the same sentence is too much.
If the sentence ends with ので, it is acceptable to have the polite style before ので. Because that is the only polite style.
But ので itself has a polite meaning, so it is not rude not to use the polite style.
I hope my explanation helps you. 😊
