→ 今、家にだれもいませんよ。
No one is home right now.

 

どうして(WHY)?

これは否定文(ひていぶん)だから。
Because this is a negative sentence.

 

だれも〜ない (+negative sentence):”no one”
だれでも(+affirmative sentence): “everybody, anyone”
