Konnichiwa, it’s Chika Sensei.

Today, I’m sharing a practice question for JLPT prep.

This one’s for upper beginners (JLPT N4)!

Can you choose the correct answer?

[Practice Question]

[Answer]

I’ll put up a poster on the wall.

= to stick, to paste, to put up

Use はる when you attach something to a surface.

かべ (wall)

+ に (on)

For example:

stick a sticker on a notebook

So, はります is correct here.

Other Choices:

= to paint, to spread

→ Used for: paint on a wall, butter on bread

= to copy, to project, to reflect

→ Used for: copying photos, projecting on a screen

= to push, to press

→ Used for: pushing a button

I hope this explanation helps! 😊
