こんにちは、ちか先生です。

Konnichiwa, it’s Chika Sensei.

Today, I’m sharing a practice from my exclusive course.

This one’s for beginners (JLPT N5)!

Can you choose the correct answer?

[Answer]

このバッグは大きいです。(1 なんでも)入ります。

This bag is big. You can fit anything in it.

The key point:

入ります is a positive verb.

It’s not a question and not a negative sentence.

なんでも

= anything / everything

Among the choices, only なんでも fits a positive sentence.

なんでも入ります means “You can fit anything.”

So, なんでも is the best choice.

Other choices:

なにを

= what (as an object)

Used in questions.

× This is not a question, so it doesn’t fit.

なにも

= nothing (used with negative verbs)

× 入ります is positive, so this doesn’t work.

なにが

= what (as a subject)

Also used in questions.

× This is not a question, so it doesn’t fit.

I hope this explanation helps! 😊
