Today, I’m sharing a practice question for JLPT prep.
This one’s for beginners (JLPT N5)!
Can you choose the correct answer?
[Practice Question]
A：きのう、何時に会社(＿＿)出ましたか。
B：8時ごろです。
*A：きのう、なんじに かいしゃ(＿＿)でましたか。
*B：8じごろです。

A：きのう、何時に会社(4 を)出ましたか。
B：8時ごろです。
A: What time did you leave the office yesterday?
B: Around 8 o’clock.
We use を to mark the place you leave or depart from.
The rule is:
Place + を + Verb of leaving
In this sentence:
The place is 会社 (“office”).
The verb is 出ました (“left”).
So, を is correct and natural.
The other particles (で／と／や) do not mark the place you leave from.
