[Answer]
ベランダにふとんを(1 ほして)出かけた。
I hung the futon out to dry on the balcony and went out.
ほす(干す)
– to dry something in the sun.
You use ほす when drying things like laundry or futons outside.
In the sentence, someone puts a futon on the balcony to dry.
ふとんをほす
= to dry the futon outside
So, the te-form of ほす, 「ほして」 is the correct answer.
✖ Other choices:
2 まいて:
te-form of 巻(ま)く
= “to roll up.”
3 しいて:
te-form of 敷(し)く
= “to lay out” (on a floor).
4 つるして:
te-form of 吊(つ)るす
= “to hang.”
I hope this explanation helps! 😊
