[JLPT grammar] ラーメンが食べたくないです→Incorrect

Today I am going to share the homework correction quoted from my JLPT N5 course!
The student’s sentence is not correct. Can you find the mistake?

[Student’s sentence]

ラーメンが食(た)べたくないです。ピザが食べたいです。

[My correction]

ラーメンが食べたくないです。ピザが食べたいです。
→ラーメン食べたくないです。ピザが食べたいです。
I don’t want to eat ramen. I want to eat pizza.

ラーメンは(comparison)食べたくないです。
This は can express the object being compared.
=I want to eat something else, but I don’t want to eat ramen.

A verb that takes the particles を can have the particle が when it is followed by たい.
ラーメン食べます。I eat ramen.
ラーメン食べたいです。I want to eat ramen.

In your sentence, you are not just referring to ramen, you are saying you want pizza, but not ramen.
So, you should use は as a comparison/contrast marker.

ラーメン食べたくないです。I don’t want to eat ramen (but I want to eat something else).

I hope it helps you.😊
