[JLPT grammar] かっこいいでやさしいです→Who’s going back?

Today I am going to share the homework correction quoted from my JLPT N5 course!
The student’s sentence is not correct. Can you find the mistake?

[Student’s sentence]

私の父は、かっこいいでやさしいです。

*私(わたし)
父(ちち)

[My correction]

私の父は、かっこいいでやさしいです。
→私の父は、かっこよくてやさしいです。
My father is cool/handsome and kind/nice.

かっこいい is an i-adjective.

To create te-form of an i-adjective, you should remove the い ending from the i-adjective and replace it with く and add て.
おおき→おおきくて

But いい is an exception, the te-form of いい is よくて. (Because the original word of いい is よい.)
かっこいい→かっこよくて

te-form becomes で if it is a na-adjective or a noun.
べんり→べんり na-adj
先生(せんせい)→先生 noun

I hope my explanation helps you. 😊

In the JLPT course, all lessons come with homework, if you submit your homework, I will reply with corrections.
