[Common Mistakes] Using “らしい” sounds like gossip?

Today, I am going to share a homework correction from my Japanese Course!
The student’s sentence is not quite correct. Can you find the mistake?
[Student’s sentence]
天気予報によると、明日台風が来るらしいです。
*てんきよほうによると、あしたたいふうがくるらしいです。

[My correction]
天気予報によると、明日台風が来るらしいです。
→天気予報によると、明日台風が来るそうです。
According to the weather forecast, a typhoon is coming tomorrow.
Using 〜らしい makes it sound like a rumor or gossip.
Here, you heard the information from a weather report, so you should use 〜そうだ. Use 〜そうだ when you are repeating specialized information you heard directly from a source like the news or a report.
Examples:
ニュースによると、近所(きんじょ)で火事(かじ)があったそうです。
According to the news, there was a fire in the neighborhood.
友(とも)だちの話(はなし)では、あの店(みせ)のラーメンはおいしいらしいです。
I heard from a friend that the ramen at that shop is delicious.
