[Answer]
京都に(4 行くなら)、お茶を買ってきてください。
If you’re going to Kyoto, please buy some tea.
The grammar point here is 〜なら.
「なら」is used when you’re responding to something the other person just said.
It means something like:
“Oh, if that’s the case…”
“In that case…”
In this sentence, the speaker is reacting to hearing that someone is going to Kyoto.
They are saying:
「京都に行くんですか?そうですか、じゃあ、お茶を買ってきてください。」
→ “Oh, you’re going to Kyoto? In that case, please buy some tea!”
That’s why 行くなら is the perfect choice here.
✖ Other Choices:
行くと
= “Whenever ~”
Used for repeated or natural results. Doesn’t fit this kind of request.
行けば
= A general “if” form
Sounds too neutral or hypothetical. Not natural for responding to someone’s plan.
行くところ
= “(someone is) just about to go”
Not used to express “if.” It doesn’t fit this sentence.
I hope this explanation helps! 😊
