[Answer]
A:ああ、たくさん歩いたね。
B:うん、つかれたね。ちょっとあそこで(1 やすもう)。
A: Wow, we walked a lot.
B: Yeah, I’m tired. Let’s rest over there for a bit.
The key grammar here is:
Volitional-form(意向形:いこうけい)
We use the volitional form when we want to:
– Invite someone to do something (“Let’s ~”)
– Suggest an idea
In this sentence, B is suggesting that they rest (やすむ).
やすむ = Group 1 verb
How to make the volitional-form (Group 1 verb):
–u (dictionary-form)
→-o+う(volitional-form)
やすむ(yasumu)
→やすもう (yasumo+う)
So, やすもう is the best choice.
✖ Other Choices:
やすむよう
→Conjugation mistake
やすみよう
→Conjugation mistake
やすみしよう
→The verb やすみする does not exist.
(If you want to say “take a break,” you can say 休憩(きゅうけい)しよう.)
I hope this explanation helps! 😊
