Konnichiwa, it’s Chika Sensei.
Today, I’m sharing a practice question for JLPT prep.
This one’s for beginners (JLPT N5)!
Can you choose the correct answer?
[Practice Question]

[Answer]
Yesterday, I went to the next town by bicycle.
This で marks the means or method.
It tells us “how” you went somewhere.
Pattern:
[Vehicle] +
e.g.
= go by bus
= go by train
In this sentence:
Vehicle
So, we say:
= I went by bicycle.
✖︎Other Choices:
Particles を, に, and と don’t mark means or tools.
I hope this explanation helps! 😊
