[JLPT N3] Taking care of someone: [したく・めんどう・じゅんび・せわ]＋をする？

Today, I’m sharing a practice question for JLPT prep.
This one’s for intermediate learners (JLPT N3)!
Can you choose the correct answer?
[Practice Question]
田中さんは小さい弟の（＿＿）をしています。
*たなかさんは ちいさい おとうとの（＿＿）を しています。
1 したく
2 めんどう
3 じゅんび
4 せわ

[Answer]
田中さんは小さい弟の（4 せわ）をしています。
Tanaka-san is taking care of his/her little brother.
せわ means “care”.
せわ is usually used with する
せわをする
= to take care of ~ / to look after ~
In this sentence:
弟のせわをする
= take care of his/her younger brother
✖ Other Choices:
1 したく（支度）
= “preparation” (like getting dressed to go out)
It doesn’t mean taking care of someone in general.
2 めんどう（面倒）
We say:
面倒を見(み)る = to take care of
But we do NOT say:
面倒をする
3 じゅんび（準備）
= “preparation”
準備をする is used for events, trips, work, etc.
It does not match “taking care of a person”.
