[JLPT grammar] 私はつまらないです、is this sentence correct?

Today I am going to share the Q&A quoted from my JLPT N5 course!

[Student’s Question]

I’m bored, so I’ll watch a movie.
Is this sentence correct?

[My Reply]

You should use ひま instead of つまらない.
And also, you can omit

You have free time but nothing to do so you are bored.
An activity is not interesting, and therefore you are bored.

私はつまらない sounds like “I am a boring person.”

That movie is boring.

I had some free time so I watched the movie but it was boring.

I hope my answer helps you.😊

In the JLPT course, you can ask me any questions as much as you want.
I will teach you until you get it!
