[Answer]
まだ古いのが残っているから、使い(4 きって)から新しいのを買おう。
There’s still some old stuff left, so let’s use it all up before buying the new one.
〜きる(support verb)
= to do something completely / to the end
Verb masu-form+きる
使う dictionary-form
使い|ます masu-form
使い|きる “to use up completely.”
Here, the sentence means:
“There are still some old (consumable) items left, so let’s buy new ones after we’ve used up the old ones.”
That’s why we choose きって and make the expression 使いきって.
Other choices:
かけて
→ 〜かける means “in the middle of doing ~.”
えて
→ This cannot be used as a support verb.
ぬいて
→ 〜ぬく means “to persist and do something through difficulty.”
We don’t use it when talking about using up consumables like old products.
I hope this explanation helps! 😊
