Today, I’m sharing a practice question for JLPT prep.
This one’s for intermediate learners (JLPT N3)!
Can you choose the correct answer?

あの店は休みの日（＿＿）平日も混んでいます。
*あのみせは やすみのひ（＿＿）へいじつも こんでいます。

2 に対(たい)して
3 とはいえ
4 だけしか

あの店は休みの日（1 ばかりでなく）平日も混んでいます。
That shop is crowded not only on holidays but also on weekdays.
AばかりでなくBも
= “not only A but also B”
→ Both A and B are the same.
In this sentence:
A: 休みの日 (holidays)
→ crowded
B: 平日 (weekdays)
→ crowded
Both A and B are crowded!
So, ばかりでなくis the best choice.
✖ Other Choices:
に対して
= “compared to ~” / “toward ~”
とはいえ
= “although ~” / “even so”
だけしか
= “only ~”
Always used with a negative form(〜ない).
