[JLPT grammar] Is it OK to use でも after けど sentence?

Today I am going to share the Q&A quoted from my JLPT N3 course!

[Question]

Sensei,
Is it OK to use でも after けど sentence?
e.g.
来年日本に行くつもりでしたが、でも….

[My Reply]

It’s not a mistake, but it is slightly redundant.

〜が, 〜けど, and でも mean the same.

If you want to connect sentences, use 〜が and 〜けど.
You can use でも at the beginning of a sentence.

You can use them together in a conversation when you become silent with thinking before でも.

「〜でしたが、、、、、、、でも〜」

The silence makes it sound like a new sentence has started.

When you write, you should not use them in one sentence.

I hope my answer helps you. 😊

In the JLPT course, you can ask me any questions as much as you want.
I will teach you until you get it!
