Konnichiwa, it’s Chika Sensei.

Today, I’m sharing a practice question for JLPT prep.

This one’s for pre-advanced learners (JLPT N2)!

Can you choose the correct answer?

[Practice Question]

[Answer]

My hard work paid off, and I got hired by the company I wanted.

= “~ paid off” / “it was worth it”

Your effort or hard work led to a good result.

In this sentence:

努力した

= I worked hard

= I was able to join the company I wanted.

So, my hard work was not wasted.

So, かいあって is the best choice.

✖ Other Choices:

= “when doing ~” / “on the occasion of ~”

= “judging from ~”

= “judging from ~” / “even from ~”

I hope this explanation helps! 😊
