天気がいいので、山を登りたいです。

*てんきがいいので、やまをのぼりたいです。

天気がいいので、山を登りたいです。
→天気がいいので、山に登りたいです。
Since the weather is nice, I want to climb a mountain.

 

山「を (movement)」登る
＝Used when a mountain is a transit point to somewhere else.

山「に (destination)」登る
＝Used when the destination is the summit and ‘climbing the mountain’ is your goal or purpose.

 

In your sentence, you should use ‘に’ because the purpose of the activity is to climb the mountain.

e.g.

去年(きょねん)、日本に行って富士山(ふじさん)に登りました。
Last year, I went to Japan and climbed Mt. Fuji.

田中(たなか)さんは山の中(なか)に住(す)んでいます。彼(かれ)に会(あ)うために、2時間(じかん)ほど山を登らなければなりません。
Tanaka-san lives in the mountains. To see him, we have to climb the mountain for about two hours.
