Konnichiwa, it’s Chika Sensei.

Today, I’m sharing a practice question for JLPT prep.

This one’s for beginners (JLPT N5)!

Can you choose the correct answer?

[Practice Question]

[Answer]

Since today is the 15th, the day before yesterday was the 13th.

Let’s look at the calendar:

きょう

= today

The sentence says:

“Today is the 15th.”

The question is about the 13th.

The 13th is two days before the 15th.

The Japanese word for “two days before today” (or “the day before yesterday”) is おととい.

So, おととい is the correct answer!

[Other Choices]

→ the day after tomorrow

→ this year

→ last week

I hope this explanation helps! 😊
