いえ：house, describes a building.
うち：home, family, describes your family and your household.

 

e.g.
あそこにあかいいえがある。
There is a red house over there.
=describes the red building.

きれいないえですね。
Beautiful house.
=describes the beautiful building.

うちに帰(かえ)りたいです。
I want to go home.
=a place where my family is waiting for me.

うちのお父(とう)さん。
my father
=refers to my, our…
